    The laboratory seeks to use big data, high throughput approaches to solve problems caused by infectious diseases. Ongoing projects involve discovering new starting points for drugs, cheminformatics, using in vitro evolution and whole genome analysis to find new drug targets and genes involved in drug resistance, as well as investigating host pathogen interactions using genomic methods such as RNA-seq. Most work is on malaria parasites but I am interested in other microbes. I enjoy developing and exploiting new technologies and lab members should be comfortable working without a recipe.
