Natacha Akshoomoff, PhD is a pediatric neuropsychologist. Her research focuses on the contribution of variability in brain development to cognitive, behavioral, social, and emotional function and outcomes in children. She is an expert in pediatric neuropsychological assessment and diagnosis of neurodevelopmental conditions, such as autism spectrum disorder, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, and learning disorders.

Dr. Akshoomoff earned her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology with a specialization in neuropsychology from the UCSD/SDSU Joint Doctoral Program in Clinical Psychology. She completed a predoctoral internship in clinical neuropsychology at the University of Florida. She completed a postdoctoral fellowship at UCSD with funding by the NIH and the McDonnell-Pew Program. Dr. Akshoomoff was an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology at Georgia State University. She joined the faculty at UCSD in 2004.

Altmetrics Details PMC Citations indicate the number of times the publication was cited by articles in PubMed Central, and the Altmetric score represents citations in news articles and social media. (Note that publications are often cited in additional ways that are not shown here.) Fields are based on how the National Library of Medicine (NLM) classifies the publication's journal and might not represent the specific topic of the publication. Translation tags are based on the publication type and the MeSH terms NLM assigns to the publication.
