|Longitudinal Analysis of Codes to Identify Diagnostic Opportunities (LUCID)|
Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation 9903Dec 1, 2020 - May 31, 2022
Role Description: We are applying several techniques to analyze patients' diagnostic codes over time related to three conditions at risk for diagnostic-related harm (venous thromboembolism, colorectal cancer and spinal abscess). Our goal is to develop methods to better identify cases with diagnostic opportunities. Our proposed measure is the proportion of these cases that undergo a structured diagnostic case review to learn from these opportunities at the organizational level.
|Post-Handoff Report of Outcomes 2 (PHAROS2)|
Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation 6474Nov 8, 2017 - Nov 7, 2019
Role Description: Through a mixed-methods evaluation, our team aims to identify the most effective means of providing post-handoff feedback of patient outcomes to providers. We will iteratively improve the design of a system to provide this feedback and will disseminate its use.
