    Dr. Daniel serves as Vice Dean for Medical Education at the University of California, San Diego School of Medicine. She attended Johns Hopkins School of Medicine and completed her residency in Emergency Medicine at Johns Hopkins Hospital. She subsequently obtained a Masters Degree in Health Professions Education from the University of Maastricht in the Netherlands. She is a Past President of the Directors of Clinical Skills Organization. She currently serves as Chair of the Best Evidence in Medical Education Review Committee and is an Associate Editor for Medical Teacher. Her research interests span the medical education continuum and include clinical reasoning / cognition, USMLE examinations, and systematic reviews.
