    Dr. Jerban is an Assistant Professor of the Department of Radiology, UCSD, focused on MRI-based diagnosis and monitoring of musculoskeletal system diseases, such as osteoporosis and osteoarthritis.
    Dr. Jerban utilizes UTE-MRI techniques as a unique noninvasive panel to assess hard and soft musculoskeletal tissues simultaneously. He is interested in UTE-MRI biomarkers calculated in key musculoskeletal tissues (bone, tendon, muscle, and cartilage) and their relationship with mechanical/microstructural properties and the disease stages.
    Dr. Jerban’s recent interest has been the medical image-based evaluation of the joints’ function under mechanical loading.
