    Dr. Bard Cosman is currently Associate Professor of Clinical Surgery at UC San Diego. He has been with UC San Diego Health since 1995.

    Dr. Cosman has received the Kaiser Teaching Award, given by third-year medical students. He has also been nominated for Humanism in medicine Award. And his interest in history was rewarded with a second place showing for an article he wrote for the San Diego History Society's Institute of History competition.

    Dr. Cosman has articles in several professional organizations, and holds a special interest in chronic inflammatory lesions and does some clinical research. He has published several articles and studies.
