    Dr. Alexander Tenorio graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and earned his medical degree from the University of California, San Francisco School of Medicine. He is currently a neurological surgery resident at the University of California, San Diego Neurological Surgery Program.

    Dr. Tenorio's academic interests include addressing health and neurosurgical care disparities of historically disadvantaged populations. He has worked extensively to increase awareness of the rise of neurological traumatic injuries at the United States-Mexico border. His advocacy work has included collaborating with human rights organizations and testifying before U.S. Congress on the humanitarian impact and economic costs to our healthcare system from our current border infrastructure.
