Under the guidance of Dr. Alexander Khalessi and Dr. Bob Carter, Dr. Arvin Wali started his residency in neurological surgery at the University of California, San Diego in 2018. He is a graduate of the UC San Diego bachelors/MD Medical Scholars Program, in which he earned his BA in Economics, Summa Cum Laude and in medical school served as class president and was inducted into the Gold Humanism Honors Society. Prior to receiving his medical degree, Dr. Arvin Wali was selected for the National Institutes of Health, TL1 predoctoral grant, to pursue a Masters in Clinical Research with the Department of Neurosurgery.
Dr. Arvin Wali publishes clinical research in the domains of health economics, big data analytics, and health disparities. His clinical interests include the fields of cerebrovascular/endovascular, trauma, skull base, spine/peripheral nerve and functional neurosurgery.
