    Collapse Overview
My program of research is centered on discovering the neurobiological and psychophysiological mechanisms that underlie the development and maintenance of alcohol and other substance addiction in order to inform intervention efforts. I am particularly interested in the concept of substance craving as it represents an important phenotype of addiction with great potential for intervention. My work includes the use of various forms of psychophysiological (e.g., eye-tracking, skin conductance), neuropsychological, and neuroimaging techniques (e.g., fMRI, CBF, EEG, fNIRS), depending on the question of interest. I am also very interested in the use of virtual reality to improve our ability to assess and ultimately treat psychiatric conditions.

(Note that publications are often cited in additional ways that are not shown here.) Fields are based on how the National Library of Medicine (NLM) classifies the publication's journal and might not represent the specific topic of the publication. Translation tags are based on the publication type and the MeSH terms NLM assigns to the publication.
