    Dr. Rachna Subramony graduated from the Physician-Scientist accelerated seven-year medical program at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and Albany Medical College with a distinction in research. She completed her residency in Emergency Medicine at North Shore University Hospital. She is passionate about ultrasound and its use in emergent conditions. She pursued a fellowship in Emergency Ultrasound at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center where she had the opportunity to teach pediatric ultrasound to attending physicians at the Angkor Hospital for Children in Siem Reap, Cambodia. She served as the Emergency Department Ultrasound Director and the Director of Resident and Student Education at Englewood Hospital in New Jersey prior to joining UCSD. During her free time she enjoys hiking, being outdoors, traveling, and any water activities.
