    Although a recent addition to the staff at UCSD, Dr. Coletta did her initial training in Cardiothoracic Surgery here from 2002-2004. Her first few years in practice were at the Naval Medical Center, San Diego where she became the Department Head of Cardiothoracic Surgery. After leaving the Navy, she gained additional experience in mitral valve repair, minimally invasive techniques, and aortic surgery at the Cleveland Clinic.

    Dr. Coletta is thrilled to rejoin the Division of Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery at UCSD as an Assistant Clinical Professor where she can combine her clinical interests in patient care with her genuine enthusiasm for teaching. "This is a wonderful opportunity to engage in work that I am passionate about, caring for patients with diseases that affect the heart and lungs, and also participate as faculty in a diverse, exciting academic environment."
