    Dr. Pretorius' primary focus is patient-centered clinical care as well as outcomes research. He practiced as a general practitioner for five years in South Africa before immigrating to Canada, where he completed his cardiac surgery residency and fellowship training. His broad experience allows him an appreciation, on a holistic basis, for the needs of his patients.
