    About Me
Research Scholar at the Herbert Wertheim School of Public Health, University of California, San Diego (UCSD), and also I am a faculty member in the Department of Zoology at Tribhuvan University, Nepal.

As an environmental epidemiologist, my research focuses on understanding the neurodevelopmental impacts of environmental toxins, particularly heavy metals like arsenic (As) and lead (Pb), in vulnerable populations. Using longitudinal birth cohort study designs, I evaluate the effects of "In utero" and postnatal exposures on neurodevelopmental trajectories from infancy through adolescence.

My work also explores the role of socioeconomic status (SES) and psychosocial factors, such as the home environment (e.g., HOME Scale) and Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs), to better understand the pathways linking environmental exposures to neurodevelopmental outcomes.

Currently, I am expanding my research to investigate the neurodevelopmental effects of pesticide exposure and their metabolites using data from the Environmental Pollutant-Induced Neurotoxicity in Adolescents (ESPINA) study.

I am deeply committed to advancing public health through interdisciplinary research, addressing critical challenges in environmental health, and contributing to the well-being of populations in resource-limited settings.
