I'm currently a postdoctoral researcher at UC San Diego, working with Professor Sonia Martinez on privacy-preserving and resilient optimization and estimation in adversarial networked cyber-physical systems. During my Ph.D. (2018-2021), I worked with Prof. Sze Zheng Yong at Arizona State University on guaranteed reachability analysis and state estimation of uncertain nonlinear systems, as well as resilient estimation in cyber-physical systems subject to different uncertainty models and malicious agents/attackers. My Ph.D. thesis: " Set-Valued Methods for Reachability Analysis and Estimation of Nonlinear Dynamical Systems" won the prestigious 2021 ASU Dean's Dissertation Award.

Resilient Distributed Learning for Multi-Agent Cooperative Control
    ARL W911NF-17-S-0003Sep 1, 2022 - Aug 31, 2025
    Role: Senior Personel
Description: This project aims to develop novel and efficient algorithms for the coordination of multi-agent systems using adaptive and distributed learning techniques. The project also aims to pay special attention to human aspects related to the aforementioned scenario.
Harnessing Intrinsic Dynamics for Inherently Privacy-preserving Decentralized Optimization
    NSF-CCF NTLHJXM55KZ6Jun 1, 2021 - May 31, 2025
    Role: Co-Investigator
Description: Leveraging control theory, this project seeks to establish methodologies and associated theories for inherently privacy-preserving decentralized optimization by exploiting the intrinsic dynamical properties of decentralized optimization. Besides maintaining optimization accuracy, the dynamics-based privacy approach is also free of encryption, which not only guarantees limited extra computation/communication overhead, but also promises a decentralized implementation without the assistance of any trusted third party or data aggregator.
Distributed and Privacy-Preserving Learning in Multi-Agent Systems
    ONR N00014-19-12471Jul 1, 2019 - Jan 31, 2024
    Role: Postdoctoral Associate
Description: The general goals of the project are the following: 1) the development of privacy-preserving algorithms for distributed estimation, aiming to find non-restrictive and sufficient conditions that ensure differential privacy. 2) The design of privacy-preserving algorithms for scalable and distributed statistical learning for multi-agent systems. 3) The design of robust and distributed optimization algorithms in a distributionally robust optimization framework, and data-driven methods like the scenario approach.
