    Christina Finch, MD, is a sleep medicine specialist who cares for patients with sleep disorders including sleep apnea, insomnia, hypersomnia, narcolepsy, circadian rhythm disorders, parasomnias, and sleep-related movement disorders.

    Dr. Finch enjoys working with individuals from all walks of life and families to maximize quality of life and daytime performance through improving sleep. She treats both adult and pediatric patients through clinics at UC San Diego Health and Rady Children's Hospital. She particularly seeks to incorporate lifestyle and behavioral interventions into treatment plans when available and appropriate to make positive, sustainable changes without necessarily relying on medications.

    As an assistant professor of medicine at UC San Diego School of Medicine, she is involved in the training of medical students, residents, and fellows. Her interests include integrative medicine, global health, bioethics and health policy advocacy.

    Dr. Finch completed fellowship training in sleep medicine at Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta and residency training in family medicine at Kaiser Permanente in San Diego. She earned her medical degree from Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston. Dr. Finch is board-certified in sleep medicine and family medicine and is a member of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine.

    Areas of research interest include the impact of social determinants of health on sleep along with various advancements in the treatment of sleep disorders through behavioral modifications and/or medications.
