    Biography

    Dr. Brown received her Ph.D. in Psychology from the University of Windsor. She completed an internship in clinical neuropsychology at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit and earned a diplomate in Psychology, with a specialty in clinical neuropsychology, in 1995. Dr. Brown joined the University of California San Diego in 1997. She is currently a Clinical Professor of Psychiatry and adjunct faculty at San Diego State University. Dr. Brown is Co-Director of the Psychology Internship Training Program and a supervising psychologist in the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Service as well as with Neuropsychological Associates.

    Research Interests

    Neuropsychological correlates of learning disabilities in children and adolescents. Clinical teaching and supervision of pre and post doctoral interns and fellows in Psychology.

    Clinical Focus

    Dr. Brown’s clinical, teaching and supervision is in the area of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry as well as clinical neuropsychology. She specializes in working with children and adolescents who have histories of severe psychopathology. Dr. Brown also conducts and supervises neuropsychological assessments of children and adolescents as well as adults. She is a member of the American Psychological Association, the International Neuropsychological Society and the American Board of Professional Psychology.
