      Our lab uses cell biology, bioinformatics and proteomics approaches to define signaling networks and to study the spatial regulation of signaling mediated by protein trafficking and targeting along the exocytic and endocytic pathways. Emphasis is on trafficking and signaling events that regulate growth factor receptors and G protein coupled receptors controlling cell growth and proliferation. A second area of interest centers on defining the signaling and trafficking events regulating glomerular filtration and protein absorption by the kidney and on pinpointing the molecular defects in these processes that occur in kidney diseases associated with proteinuria.
