    Karen Kling, MD, FACS joined our group returning to San Diego after training in Pediatric surgery and Pediatric Transplantation at Johns Hopkins. Her aim is to practice not only general pediatric surgery but also renal and hepatic pediatric transplant surgery and she works in conjunction with our UC San Diego colleagues in the transplant arena. Her undergraduate work was done here at UC San Diego, she attended medical school at Johns Hopkins, and trained in general surgery at UCLA.

    Dr. Kling’s clinical interest spans the scope of general pediatric surgery to include the comprehensive surgical care of the pediatric abdominal organ transplant patient.
