    I graduated from UT Southwestern medical school in 2014. After 22 years in Texas, I decided that it was time for a change and moved to San Diego for my internal medicine residency at UCSD. Following residency, I joined the division of hospital medicine in 2017.

    My academic interests include medical education and quality improvement. I teach both medical students and residents through lectures, interactive teaching sessions, and direct patient care. Additionally, I work with residents on quality improvement projects, which focus on reducing waste and improving outcomes.
